Gacokwe Washing Station is located in the northwestern province of Kayanza. Roughly 2000 small producers owning less than 1 hectare of land deliver their coffees to this central washing station for processing. The coffee trees in this region are surrounded by other crops such as bananas, beans, yams, and cassava. Our import partners have been instrumental in developing specialty coffee in Burundi for the last 15 years. This particular lot is juicy and complex with notes of toffee, lime, & lemongrass.
